A great big-picture question. I’ll try to explain both the value and the reason, rather than just list features. Take the below information as a learning point to teach yourself what to look for and explain the value of the providers services.
Ever provider is just that, a provider. Internet Service Provider, IT Provider, Wireless Solutions Provider, now, what makes them offer you something that provides you with balance and features? Let’s get to business
No basic Internet Provider will provide you with an all in one solution. Let me explain that to you in a different way, I, Brad Chism am an IT & Wireless Solutions Provider, I rely on Spectrum, Verizon, AT&T, Starlink & other ISP’s to bring in Internet, however, if you ever experienced Spectrum, AT&T or other ISP technical support, their Wi-Fi solutions usually fail rather quickly or don’t give your home, business or vessel the support it needs. Thus, I provide you with the solution to use your internet provider for your Home, Business or Vessel. Why?
Internet Providers: They cover internet for cities and vessels, they provide direct access for you to use the internet. They relay basic technology and usually only provide a point in the corner for your WiFi, not a robust system.
Brad Chism: This is where the architect comes into play, I’ll be the person who assesses your environment, your network, your speed from the ISP, your structures material, your data usage, your possible guests’ connections, your business needs and then designs the network around your bubble. Spectrum and ISP’s don’t do this because they are not equipped for this type of structure. They don’t have the help desk to cover the various means to support your business.

Questions:
- What do you want to achieve, mediocre results with spotty service?
- Do you want all of your users using one device to cluster your equipment?
- Will my ISP focus on my business needs or home needs or guests’ needs?
]- Most, Actually nearly all Internet Service Providers won’t take the level of detail needed for your business, home or guest environment, this is why you need to ask and make sure you are focused on your environment needs.
Different types of businesses such as Hospitality, Clubs, Restaurants, Small to Medium Businesses such as Warehouses will require networks with varying levels of complexity. For example, a small 10 person shop using a network for tickets, technician dispatch and inventory will have different requirements than a club or hospitality venue that has Wi-Fi for guests, sound system & point of sales operations.
Consider your requirements for the following when thinking about your network:
- Security
- Storage
- Bandwidth
- File types
- Equipment
- Servers
- Guests Access
- Point of Sales
This question is magnificent. We can use powerful custom tools to turn your WiFi into a Marketing magnet or a revenue generating machine. We can use Pay tools which would mean you give your customers information to a third party vendor or we can set up a private in-business hosted solution for better compliance and more control over your guests data. Giving you, the business a better foundation on how your guests want to interact with your business.
Is our staff network strictly isolated from the guest network is an often asked question, unless I set up your network, I can’t guarantee this, however, an easy way for you to discover if this is accurate it connect to the guest WiFi network on a mobile device and check your IP settings on the mobile device. Then use a POS terminal or computer located on what you would assume is your staff network and check the IP settings from the terminal. If the subnets match (Guest: 10.10.10.5 & Staff: 10.10.10.90), then you have a HUGE security risk on your hands, if the IP subnets don’t match (Guest: 10.10.10.5 & Staff: 192.168.90.90) then you now will know, the guest and staff are on completely different subnets, now, the next question is, are your guests isolated from each other and can someone with the skillset like Brad switch subnets from either network to detect traffic? Shared bandwidth is just that, shared. You are sharing bandwidth between your neighbors either by Businesses around you or your home.
– Example of shared home internet would be being at home around 5pm, getting home from work or school and turning on your favorite streaming service and notice there is loading or your downloads for gaming becomes slow. Your neighbors are enjoying the bandwidth too.
Dedicated bandwidth is yours, it’s a direct piece of bandwidth between you and the ISP so even at 5pm, you won’t notice that drop in bandwidth.
In 2025/2026, tech-engrossed beings bring multiple devices (phones, watches, tablets and sometimes laptops). The technology you use for your Small to Medium Business, Hospitality, Restaurant, Adult Venue or event is one of the key components to knowing what kind of crowd you could handle in your infrastructure. If you are using weak technology that may also pose a security risk, you may only be able to handle half of the capacity of your venue.
Managed WiFi is the outsourcing of your business’s wireless internet as a third-party IT service. Your vendor handles every aspect of designing, installing, and monitoring your wireless local area networks (WLANs). You’ll pay an upfront fee to cover things like a needs assessment, followed by a monthly subscription to cover network monitoring and equipment maintenance.
Absolutely, With WiFi 7 vs WiFi 6, the bandwidth allowance alone and distance you gain from WiFi 7 is worth the upgrade. Let me explain, with WiFi 6 the max bandwidth was 9.6GBps, with WiFi 7, the maximum output is 46Gbps.
If you are considering better WiFi for your Home, Business, Patio, Outside Venue, Hospitality or Educational institution, It would be wise to bypass WiFi 6 components and invest in WiFi 7 technology with a backbone to consider WiFi 8 when the time comes.
